Spring Term 2022
Literacy
We will be starting off the term by reading, re-telling, acting and writing traditional Tales from Africa using Tinga Tales to help ignite our writing. The children are going to be thinking about the characters in the stories and learn how stories are structured. We are going to be using story mountains to help us see how stories are structured. Later in the term we will focus on non fiction writing about sea creatures and the exciting events of The Great Fire of London. In our SPaG sessions we will also using adjectives to describe, using suffixes to change root word endings and identifying plurals and spelling rules related to this.

Maths
This term we will be working on addition and subtraction skills and number sense, place value to 50 and beyond, addition and subtraction, multiplication including x2, x5 and x10, length and height, and also weight and volume.
